Haynesworth may want to get out, but will he pay back money to do so?
Speculation has increased in the past few days that Albert Haynesworth might be willing to pay back part of the recent $21 million bonus he received in an effort to help facilitate his exit from Washington, which two people in the organization said he would welcome because of Coach Mike Shanahan's plans to use him as a nose tackle in the team's new 3-4 scheme.
Donovan McNabb, on being traded away from the Eagles after 11 seasons:
“I felt I was treated fairly. Never had you heard me complain about the fans and media.”
I felt I was treated unfairly. I only complained about the fans and media in private.
Eagles coach Andy Reid, on whether other teams were involved in the McNabb trade negotiations:
“I’m not going to slight any other teams. I just know that he was fine with going to the Redskins.”
Andre Carter may be the odd man out in Redskins' switch
Jason Reid As we've studied the roster and tried to understand all of the Redskins' holes, it's almost been an assumption that the team's two outside linebackers in a 3-4 defense would be Brian Orakpo and Andre Carter. But this probably was never a wise assumption. Carter has been careful with his words since the new staff came on board and talk began to spread about the team shifting to the 3-4.

Gruden atop Snyder's wish list
Rick Snider
Jon Gruden appears to be the frontrunner in Dan Snyder's offseason search for his seventh coach in 11 seasons.
Sources close to Snyder say he began considering options to replace coach Jim Zorn after losing to Detroit on Sept. 27; a victory that ended the Lions' 19-game losing streak. The Redskins loss to Carolina on Sunday was its second in three games to a winless team. It followed a turbulent week when Snyder hired an "offensive consultant" to give Zorn another "fresh set of eyes" on a beleaguered offense.
Redskins Snyder has made two bids for Shanahan
The National football Post is reporting It’s never too early to start speculating about the coaching carousel, and John Czarnecki of FoxSports.com reports that Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder has reached out to Mike Shanahan now—twice.
